Silver Eagles are uncirculated $1.00 coins that are beautiful use of silver and should be in any US coin collection. But they have a big premium over silver so are not a great investment in precious metals.

The condition of the coin was exactly as advertised and exactly what I wanted. However, at the time of purchase, I don't recall being presented with the opportunity to purchase a round plastic holder to display the coin. I had to get that elsewhere. It looks great in the presentation box I plan to give my father on his 100th birthday.
