    What an exciting set to collect. So many dates, mintmarks and types of metal. The U.S. Mint had not issued a Quarter since 1930, as the demand for Quarters was greatly diminished by the onset of the Great Depression. In 1932, as a tribute to George Washington, the first American president, a new Quarter was issued as a commemorative. It proved so popular that two years later in 1934, this popular design was re-issued and the rest is history.   Start your set today!


    90% Silver Washington Quarters: Minted 1932 through 1964, and again in 1976.

    Clad Washington Quarters: Minted 1965 until the end of the series in 1998.

    Silver Proof Quarters: Minted 1950 to 1964 and in 1976; and from 1992 to 1998.

    Clad Proof Quarters: Minted 1965 to 1998, although from 1965 to 1967, the coins were Special Mint issues. These were Prooflike coins but not technically Proof coins, as they were prepared
